D-BOX creates an unmatched realistic immersive experience, the most amazing Home Entertainment experience you have ever tried. - Are motion effects distracting from the movie?
Not at all. D-BOX Motion designers make sure that the motion effect is well blended with the video and audio effects. It is meant to draw you in the movie with subtle movements and intelligent vibrations that are perfectly synchronized with onscreen action, but only when justified, adding a new dimension to your movie watching experience. Once you have experienced D-BOX Motion System, you will never want to watch another movie without it again. - I am sensitive to motion sickness...: should I be worry?
No, you should not worry. All the motions effects are carefully produced with the intention to well replicate the reality and not to create a theme park ride experience.
Furthemore, The D-BOX Motion System has a level control that let you adjust the motion and intelligent vibration intensity, just like you can adjust the volume of the sound on a sound system. - Is the D-BOX Motion System easy to use?
Yes, you just have to insert your movie into your BD or DVD player and your D-BOX Motion Controller will automatically recognize which movie you are watching and will allocate specific motion effect in perfect synchronization with the action onscreen. - Is the system harmful for children?
Of course not. The D-BOX Motion System is totally secured. Moreover, the D-BOX Motion System is equipped with a child lock feature. - Is my D-BOX Motion System compatible with my DVD movie collection and my new Blu-ray movie collection ?
Yes, all D-BOX supported titles are compatible with your existing Blu-ray and DVD movie collection. - Are the motion effects designed to reflect "movement" in a film, i.e. a car chase, the "rumbling" of explosions, both, or more?
Yes it is. Only D-BOX Motion System can offer motion effects and intelligent vibrations perfectly synchronized with the action onscreen. The D-BOX Motion System generate 3 types of movements and intelligent vibrations: pitch, roll and heave, that move you forwards and backwards, from side to side and up & down and create an unmatched realistic immersive experience, the most amazing Home Entertainment experience you have ever tried. - Besides your Audio-Visual setup already in place, what other components are required to set up the D-BOX Motion System to watch Blu-ray or DVD movies?
You will only need to connect your D-BOX Motion Controller to your Blu-ray or DVD player. Then you connect your D-BOX Motion platform or D-BOX equipped seating through an RJ45 Shielded cable to your D-BOX Motion Controller. - What type of D-BOX Motion Controllers are available?
You have a standalone model or PC-based models.
The Series IV Standalone Motion Controller model features an 80GB hard drive for storing thousands of D-BOX Motion Code™ files that matches your movie titles. D-BOX Motion Code™ files are automatically updated if you have an internet connection. So the latest D-BOX Motion files are always available to match your movie titles as they become available. The MCI-2P Motion Controller (2 ports) or MCI-4P Motion Controller (4 ports) models are used in conjunction with a suitably configured Windows PC. These Motion Controllers have no hard drive; instead they use the PC's hard drive to store D-BOX Motion Code™ files. - Do I have to purchase a D-BOX Ready Series seating or is there a way to attach a D-BOX Motion System to my existing seating?
For your existing seating, our SRP models can easily slide under your existing armchair or loveseat and are compatible with almost any seating that you may be planning to purchase. - Is there a difference in quality between using the D-BOX Ready Series system or the SRP Platform?
No, you will have the same unmatched realistic immersive experience. It is the same technology used in both model. - How complicated is the D-BOX installation? Can I install it, or does a dealer/installer have to do it?
The D-BOX Motion System can be installed easily if you have a minimum level of electronic knowledge. Nevertheless, as any home theatre system, if you want to have a professional installation, you should contact a Certified D-BOX dealer. - Will D-BOX work if using the Playstation 3 as a Blu-ray Disc player?
Yes, all D-BOX Motion Code™ systems are fully compatible with a Playstation 3 used as a Blu-ray player, and provide the same motion effect (MFX) experience to movie viewers. They are fully compatible with 5.1 mode, although not compatible in HDMI mode, yet. - How would someone go about researching a local D-BOX authorized dealer and installer?
To help you locate the closest D-BOX authorized dealer, you can go on our website under Where to buy section or contact a D-BOX representative by email at: info@D-BOX.com or by phone at: 1–888-442-3269. - Can I synch up motion codes to movies from providers such as Apple TV, Tivo, Netflix, etc...?
D-BOX Technologies is only compatible with the audio stream of original DVD/BD releases. To be able to synchronize with a movie, the controller needs to recognize the audio signal. Whenever there's a new DVD or Blu-ray release on the market, the audio stream will be compressed or modified most of the time. Each time there's a new release with a modified audio stream, our Motion Designers need to create a new D-BOX Motion Code(TM) to synch up with the system.
